Art Exhibit: Bonnie Frucci
Whether she is painting in her studio or painting out of doors, painting has become a creative outlet and a life passion for Bonnie Frucci. She is inspired by many different subjects with the landscape being one of her favorites.
Bonnie believes there is great joy in painting red rocks on a hot desert day, or listening to aspen leaves flutter in the wind as she paints the autumn trees. This, she feels, is part of the experience of painting out of doors. Her paintings reflect this emotional energy through her use of color, expressive brushstrokes and her unique use of light. .
“Everywhere I go I see a possible work of art. The joy is being able to paint what I see and give others the opportunity to see and feel what I experienced at the time”.
She grew up in Price Utah, and spent many years exploring the desert and mountain landscapes of Eastern Utah. This has given her a deep respect for the natural world and she strives to brings this integrity into her paintings. She graduated from Utah State University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Fine Art. During the 1990’s she taught art at Kaysville Junior High School.
Currently she focuses on painting each day and is represented in many private and corporate collections and is also represented by several galleries. She lives with her husband in Eden, Utah.
