Three Junes by Julia Glass

Taking place in three separate Junes from the perspective of three different people, the story of the McLeods unfolds beginning in 1989 with Paul just after he has lost his wife to cancer. In Greece he meets a young American artist who captivates him. Years later, the narrative moves to Fenno, Paul’s eldest son, who reflects on the unexpected reunion with his brothers following Paul’s death. Four years later, the third June begins with the chance meeting of the American artist and Fenno. A compassionate narrative full of wit illustrates characters struggling to love themselves and the redemption that comes from making human connection.  Limited copies available at the reference desk.
