Teen Comic Contest

Ready!  Set!  Draw! It's time for the 2020 Teen Comic Contest!  Fillout the electronic form and bring it along with your drawing to any Weber County Library location, all summer long.  Voting for everyone's favorite 3 pieces begins August 13 at the Main Library.  This program is FREE.  For ages 12-18.

Contest Rules

  1. All contestants must be between the ages of 12 and 18.
  2. One entry per teen
  3. Any character/story descriptions must be typed
  4. Teens should not include their name anywhere visible on the entry, for privacy purposes—each entry will be assigned a number for patron voting
  5. Teens will be required to submit the attached form with their entry
  6. All submissions must be original works.

Categories

  1. Four Panel Comic (like Peanuts and Garfield): Preferably a page worth of panels
  2. Graphic Novel Chapter: 1-2 pages, must include a detailed backstory about the comic (1 page in length)
  3. Design a Character: Must include at least one full-body drawing & one face/profile drawing. Must include a detailed backstory for their character (1 page in length)
