Awarded to the Weber County Library Board of Trustees for the rehabilitation of the distinctive mid-century modern Weber County Main Library.

Rocky Mountain Power, “Energy Resource Stewardship Award,” 2011.

“Awarded to the Pleasant Valley Branch Library for completing the installation of energy efficiency 
improvements, which it is estimated will save 71,522 kWh/ year” or more than $1,100,000 over the life of the
building.

United for Libraries, a Division of American Library Association, “Special Project Award,” 2014.

    “United for Libraries and Baker & Taylor, the world’s largest book wholesaler, recognized Evelyn Bertilson, 
    President, and Friends of the Weber County Library for their outstanding effort to support the 2013 general
    obligation bond election.  This national award was based on their planning, implementation, evaluation, 
    innovation, and community involvement.”  Friends received a $1,000 contribution from Baker & Taylor.  The 
    award was presented during the annual meeting of the American Library Association.

United States National Park Service, “National Register of Historic Places,” 2019

Recognized the Main Library as a mid-century modern treasure worthy of preservation for its historical significance.

The Weber County Main Library was selected as the most outstanding state-wide renovation project of the year.

Weber State University Alumni Association recognized Lynnda Wangsgard, Library Director, with the Lewis W. Shurtliff award for her life-long contribution to enhancing education in the community.  Lewis W. Shurtliff was the founder of Weber State University.
